Following the events of Lost Judgment, Kaito picks upward a case while Yagami's out of town: An unresolved suicide with a lucrative reward. Things unexpectedly go personal with Kaito continuing at the crossroads of his past and nowadays while upwards against new syndicates emerging from the underbellies of Kamurocho and Ijincho.

Story

When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks our protagonists walk home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious.

He awakens in a new Tokyo, a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse at present called Da'at... simply before bloodthirsty demons tin claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to get a mighty being neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.

With newfound power, the protagonist ventures through Da'at, an enigmatic realm filled with mythical deities and demonic tyrants in constant conflict for survival.

Searching for answers, the protagonist must forge his own path in a boxing between light and dark to dictate the fate of the world.

Ex-lawyer Turned Detective

The former lawyer and private detective Takayuki Yagami returns two years subsequently the resolution of The Mole Serial Killings. Nevertheless partnered with former yakuza turned detective Masaharu Kaito, a new instance takes him to investigate the bullying occuring at a Yokohama loftier school, Seiryo Loftier.

Meanwhile, his former coworkers from Genda Law Office, defense lawyers Saori Shirosaki and Issei Hoshino have just wrapped up the case of one Akihiro Ehara, found guilty of groping a woman on a crowded railroad train. During the sentencing, he reveals the identity of a body found in an abandoned building in Yokohama: Hiro Mikoshiba, who bullied Ehara's son to suicide four years ago.

To stay on campus and investigate further, Yagami takes on the role of a guild counselor for the school's Mystery Research Gild in hopes of finding connnections to Mikoshiba'southward past and to the recent bullying incidents. As the cases brainstorm to converge, a shocking design of corruption and deception comes into focus, and Yagami finds himself in a winding conspiracy leading to the most nefarious parts of the Japanese underworld. Betwixt the Yokohama Liumang and a mysterious "handyman" of Yokohama, Jin Kuwana, Yagami is thrust into the fight of his life to see justice prevail. Simply where can justice be found in a system that turns a blind heart towards its youngest victims?
